February 28 is Rare Disease Day, a time to raise awareness for those battling rare diseases as well as those making strides in the diagnostic and treatment field. At BEC, we are grateful to partner with life science companies that truly have an impact in the rare disease community. This includes our partners Apellis Pharmaceuticals and Travere Therapeutics.
Apellis Pharmaceuticals is revolutionizing rare disease treatments by bringing forward the first new class of complement medicine in nearly 15 years with the approval of a treatment for PNH, a rare and potentially life-threatening blood disease.
